I am an ERC Research Fellow for the project CHROMOTOPE (https://chromotope.eu/the-team/). At the Ashmolean Museum, my main task is to perform a full pigment analysis of the Great Bookcase by Burges.
I have been conducting research in the field of Heritage Science since my master’s degree. So far, my research has been focusing mostly on the material analysis of inks and pigments using a combination of non-invasive and micro-invasive techniques. I worked mainly on painting and manuscripts, investigating their manufacturing and exploring the reasons why certain materials were chosen over others.
In the last few years, I became increasingly interested in public engagement. Interests include promoting the field of Heritage Science outside Academia and communicating scientific concepts to non-specialised public.
