The HCDG 2022-2023 programme will centre around the theme 'Legacies of Injustice'. The theme encompasses a broad range of injustices, in both the past and the present, which are connected to a complex web of colonial issues.

From June 24-26, the Society for Medieval Archaeology (SMA) annual conference will bring together an international group of scholars to talk about early medieval migrations, present new DNA data and discuss how such data should be interpreted in terms of the wider cultural implications of migration and mobility.

The conference is open to both the public and scholars alike, online and in person.
