Book Conservator, Research and Teaching, Bodleian Libraries
The book conservators undertake conservation treatments to stabilize bindings, bound manuscripts and early-printed books. The Bodleian Libraries' collections are rich in historically significant bindings ranging from treasure bindings to paper wrappers, and they work to stabilise and repair these books with minimal interference to their original structures. Two members of the team concentrate on the repair of post-1850 printed books.
