Work of the International Trusts Organisation recap

Today we were amazed and enthralled to learn about the extent and the great variety of activities of the ‘global family of National Trusts’. ‘National’ in this sense is very broadly defined to allow for as much inclusion as possible. Catherine Leonard, Secretary General of INTO (International Trusts Organisation) introduced us to the breadth of programmes and resources, including TAP-INTO, ASK-INTO, conferences, INTO projects, The Incubator and webinars. The example of a collaboration between the Cross-Cultural Foundation in Uganda and the National Trust of England Wales & Northern Island on natural flood management showed how synergies across the globe help tackling climate change threats and protect heritage together. Catherine also brilliantly answered a host of questions from our audience about how to create and sustain connections to communities, managing collaboration timelines, what works and what does not in the COVID-19 online response, and she shared her inspiring professional pathway to working in the heritage sector. To find out more, get involved or become a member check out INTO’s website and subscribe to their newsletter: Who We Are - The International National Trusts Organisation (INTO) | The International National Trusts Organisation (INTO). The OUHN team is certainly interested in getting involved and is looking forward to potential future collaborations.
