The Oxford University Heritage Summer Event 2020 was held online like many other events due to Covid-19. We hosted an interdisciplinary panel of Dr Ammar Azzouz (Architecture), Lia Costiner (Digital Humanities), and Sinan Acikgoz (Engineering) and was magnificently chaired by Lyse Doucet (BBC's Chief International Correspondent) who wove together the threads of loss, war, hazards, destruction and disaster to a fabric of hope, resilience and (re)construction.
