Financial Implications of Coronavirus for the Museums and Heritage Sector

Financial Implications of Coronavirus for the Museums and Heritage Sector

This session will explore the ways in which the current coronavirus crisis has highlighted challenges with the financial and commercial structures underpinning the museums and heritage sector. Without paying visitors, how can venues survive? And when they do re-open, what will visitors want? Will they be the same visitors?

Speakers:

  • Julie Finch (Chief Executive – Compton Verney Art Gallery and Park)
  • Lucy Shaw (Head of Programmes and Partnerships, Oxford University Museums);
  • Madeline Odent (Curator and Museum Manager, Royston & District Museum and Art Gallery)

All are welcome to join us for a twitter chat following on from the session, hosted by the Oxford University Heritage Network (@Oxford_Heritage). Follow #HeritagePathway to join in!
